USING TECHNIQUES THAT MEET YOU WHERE YOU ARE

  • A black and white photo of a family sitting on a patterned sofa in a living room. The family includes a man and a woman with two young children. The man has short hair, a checked shirt, and light-colored pants. The woman has short, curly hair, glasses, and a light-colored dress. The young boy is sitting on the man's lap, wearing a striped shirt and overalls, while the young girl is sitting on the woman’s lap, wearing a light dress. Behind them, there is a brick wall with shelves holding small figurines, and a window with a potted plant and a lamp nearby.

    Psychodynamic Therapy

This modality wants you to explore your unconscious to help resurface the difficult emotions experienced in your childhood.

Typically, this is an opportunity to safely explore the past traumatic episodes of your life.

As part of the process of understanding the past, we can also look at your dreams for further insights.

  • A large green tree with sprawling branches standing in a grassy field under a blue sky with scattered clouds.

    Existential Therapy

Existential therapy asks where you stand in life in relation to death, meaning, isolation and freedom.

Together, we can explore who you have been and who you want to become. How you make meaning in life by exploring your values.

The work is about developing a congruence to those values to live a meaningful life. In this process, you will slowly build the emotional capacity to hold yourself in awareness and responsibility.

  • A public toilet paper roll with a handwritten note saying "Don't panic" attached to the holder.

    Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) helps you with daily difficulties or symptoms that prevent you from living an enjoyable life.

CBT trains your brain to reassess the current situation and helps you develop a behaviour that is adequate to the reality.

Typically, CBT can help you control intrusive thoughts, manage your phobias and break free from anxiety.

  • Close-up of colorful crayon pieces scattered on a surface.

    Art Therapy

Art therapy gives you an opportunity to express an experience that is difficult to say with words.

Using a creative and non-verbal language will help you process and understand painful emotions as well as create new symbolic meanings.

Together, we will create a powerful imagery that will inspire and anchor you in your recovery journey.
